What Happens After I submit?
CURRANT JAM is dedicated to supporting artists and fostering creativity. Here are some things you should know after you submit…
You own 100% your work
When you submit to CURRANT JAM you are giving us the right to publish your work – that is it, no strings attached.
You own 100% of the intellectual and commercial properties of your work.
You do not own the right to any royalties or profits of the magazine.
Our goal is to support you & your work.
What you can expect from us
As we are a very new publication and are self-funded. Thus, we are only able to give our contributors discounted copies (the pre-order price) of the magazine. In the future (& with more funding) we aim to be able to provide copies for free to our contributors. We apologize for the inconvenience.
We do not give out any sort of awards or special acknowledgements.
CURRANT JAM hosts events where we highlight the work of our contributors. These events include readings, screenings, gallery space, performances (musical, dance, etc.) & more. These events are highlight work that is a little more difficult to feature in print as well as celebrate everyone’s incredible work! *Visual artists can sell their exhibited work directly (we do not take any cut)*
Our goal is to foster community and the arts by connecting us all together a little bit more in person & on paper <3.
